Public Policy think tank Praxis, President's Academic Advisory Board
Daniel Vaarik (Estonia) an expert in media, communication and strategic planning. He is a member of the think tank of Estonian president Toomas Hendrik Ilves and member of the board of public policy think tank Praxis.
Earlier Daniel Vaarik headed the Government Communication Office of Estonia and the Public Relations Division at the Ministry of Economy, also worked as a communication advisor at the Government of Estonia and Ministry of Finance. He has been a CEO of Hill and Knowlton Tallinn, where he consulted numerous leading international corporations like “Skype”, “Microsoft”, “Hewlett-Packard”, “Procter & Gamble”, “Coca-Cola”.
Daniel Vaarik is an author of the Messaging Handbook (In Estonian, “Sõnumiseadja käsiraamat”) and Internship Report (In Estonian, “Praktikaaruanne”, a documentary novel about journalism). In 2010 co-authored a political drama project “United Estonia”. During this project a political populist movement was created which lasted for 44 days and ended with a one-time megashow on democracy and politics for 7500 people.
