Gianni Catalfamo (IT)
Founder & Senior Advisor of cc:catalfamo, former Co-Chairman of the World Communication Forum in Davos
After completing his Nuclear Engineering degree at the Milan Polytechnic in 1982, Gianni worked at IBM then Olivetti and Lotus Development Corp. His responsibilities at Lotus grew along with the success of the company in Italy which in 7 years moved from 2 employees and USD 700k in sales to 35 employees and over USD 10M. In 1993 he joined Image Time as partner of the agency which in 1999 was acquired by Omnicom and merged in Ketchum. For many years Country CEO for Italy, his last role was European Director, Digital & Social Media. In 2012 Gianni left Ketchum to set up his own consultancy cc:catalfamo focusing on the transformation process associated with the transition to Digital in very large, international contexts, while serving as Co-Chairman of the World Communication Forum in Davos (CH). In 2013, he published his first essay dealing with the issues of digital identity , “The Digital Self Manifesto” followed in 2014 by “For Friends, not for Brands!”, on the Governance of Digital Projects. He often lectures around the world and writes on this topic on his blog.
