Co-Chair of Euro Pride 2015, Human Rights Activist
Kaspars Zalitis has made a name for himself as one of Latvia’s most prominent human rights defenders. With a mantra of “Progress is Possible,” he has traveled the globe spreading a message of human rights and working to improve the situation of the LGBT people in areas where much work remains to be done. Kaspars started his professional career as an Assistant and later as an Adviser to the State Secretary of the Secretariat of the Special Assignment Minister for Social Integration. He has been involved with human rights issues for over 10 years. He has also continuously served as a board member of Association of LGBT and their friends Mozaika, and has cooperated with many international organisations including Amnesty International, InterPride and others. His biggest passion is to work with human rights defenders around the world and to find best solutions for their organisations and event security. Kaspars has completed studies in public relations, media communications and international relations.
